Today, we are proud to announce a much expected release of Arabic versions of our themes. We are now releasing a new version of Pojo themes, that includes, besides the Arabic versions, other important improvements such as page load speed improvements, and improvements with our site accessibility plugin.
The updates are already available for all Pojo themes, so you should expect to receive a notification about it in the admin updates panel. Let’s get started, reviewing all of these useful updates.
Introducing Fully Supported & Premium Multilingual Arabic Themes
There are a lot of people in the Pojo community who have started using our themes after switching from other popular themes. We found out they preffered our themes because they are the only RTL themes that work flawlessly and out of the box, and do not cause any RTL issues. I know this is a bold statement, but scouring the internet we found there was not one worthy theme, other than our own, that was fully compatible with RTL and multilingual . We found that puzzling, as there are 26 countries whose official language is Arabic, and there is an estimate of over 365 million Arabic speaking people worldwide.
This made us work hard to bring you a new version of our themes, that will include full Arabic support for all theme features, plugins and extensions. This means there is no easier way to create your own fully customized and beautiful Arabic website.
You can see a demo of the multilingual Arabic theme here. All 16 of our themes now come with full Arabic translations integrated into our platform.
Pojo Themes Faster Than Ever
The speed performance of WordPress themes has become a major issue for web designers, wanting to improve their client’s site SEO and usability. The theme’s speed and performance is a top priority for us at Pojo, and we make sure all themes show great page load performances under speed test websites like Pingdom.
Our latest update includes the minifying of JS and CSS files. This update is not something you can visibly see, but it makes all of the website’s pages load faster, and can influence site speed measurements significantly.
Sitewide Accessibility
Our accessibility tool is one of our most popular extensions, and has been recently translated to the Drupal platform by an outside developer in our community.
We have now made this tool a lot more useful for users that use this feature, because once they set their accessibility preferences within the tool, this information is saved across the website for a determined period of time, which is customizable by the site owner.
Let’s say the visitor sets the site font color to grayscale. This user can browse the website, even close the browser and reopen the page, to find the settings for the website still set to grayscale.
If you are still unfamiliar with our accessibility themes, we suggest you read about it in a recently published post from our blog.
Adding HTML & JS Code To Pojo Forms
We have added an option to add HTML code to our forms. This means that if you would like to add, for example, an “opt-in for our newsletter” checkbox into your newsletter registration form, you can do it easily by putting the code into the corresponding field.
In addition, you can now add JS triggers to your forms by editing your child theme. This option gives you the ability to track form submissions and perform conversion tracking using tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar.
